Helpful Hint:
When the GECO Lite first comes out of the packaging, it has a rubbery smell that will dissipate over time and increased exposure to air. Before first use, we recommend airing your mat overnight. Wash your hands with soap and water before using your GECO Lite mat. It is essential to remove natural oils or hand cream, etc. as this will cause slipping. If necessary, keep a dry towel next to your mat to wipe away perspiration. A yoga towel is indispensable for hot yoga or intensive training.
To keep:
Always roll up your mat with the top with the logo facing out. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to limit oxidation of the top surface and extend the life of your mat.
Cleaning:
For a quick clean after each session, wipe the surface of your mat with a damp cloth. Let the mat dry flat on the floor. For a deeper clean, occasionally use a mild organic detergent or soap (no solvents, no harsh abrasives). Omit the logo part to avoid deterioration. Wipe the surface with a cloth and clean water. Leave the mat flat on the floor to dry completely.
